Golden Goose PR decided to fool the nation on April Fools Day with not just one but two pranks.
We dreamed up The Kimsicle, a new marshmallow ice cream made in the shape of Kim Kardashian’s infamous PAPER Magazine shoot for our ice cream client, The Licktators. The made-up product, which we said could boost women’s bottoms, quickly went viral. We watched in amazement as people around the world started sharing the Kimsicle on various social media platforms – and it made our day when it appeared on Kim Kardashian’s own website. The story was also picked up by Metro, DailyStar.co.uk, OK!, Mirror.co.uk, Express.co.uk, ELLE, Best, So Feminine, Telegraph.co.uk, Cosmopolitan amongst other intentional outlets. We were also named one of the best pranks on the web by The Huffington Post, Heart FM and MailOnline.
In keeping (up with) the Kardashian theme we also launched the World’s first BootyBra on behalf of lingerie label Curvy Kate. The Booty Bra is shapewear that can give your behind that little (p)added oomph! Booty Bra definitely inspired the nation to pump up their derrières as we saw coverage appear on Sugarscape, Live Like a VIP, Telegraph.co.uk, Express.co.uk, Heart FM, DailyStar.co.uk and Cosmopolitan.
We also have to say well done to Pizza Hut, Dominos, Sunlife, Daily Mirror and Costa on their brilliant April Fools stories.
